Several weeks ago, I sent out these fun invitations. I found the idea via Pinterest - like all my favorites ideas of late. I even made my own envelopes, to make them individual and less ordinary.
On Valentine's Day, Lizzie and I made a new Valentine decoration.
I bought a package of heart doilies from the dollar store and scattered them around the walls and any surface that looked empty. I borrowed my mom's Kiss-tletoe tree and had kisses all over. Also displayed is our scrapbook of dating and engagement.
The piano had a plethora of cards for the holiday from Grandparents and friends.
Our guests this year were the Trent and Camilla S, friends in our ward for the last year,
and Dave and Cynthia H. It was such a joy to get to know both these couples better!
It was definitely fun to let loose and be silly a bit!
Dinner fare was our favorite meat fondue, oven roasted potatoes, pink fluff, and spring salad with walnuts, cranberries and vinaigrette, followed by valentine whoopie pies and brownies, brought by our guests.
