Easter Around Here

Easter was pretty laid-back around here this year!

On the Saturday preceeding Easter Sunday, the girls and I cooked and dyed eggs.

On Sunday, we joined with other family and friends and attended the blessing of Aaron's neice, J.  After that, we met at Gramma and Grampa's for a big dinner and a cousins/friends Easter egg hunt.

Lizzie was my real champ - she found the golden egg.  She was pretty darn proud of herself!

I made an attempt (or 30) at taking a picture of them all together with their eggs.  I got no-one looking but at least they look engrossed in something.
Or partial attention.  Let me tell ya, Carson just never looked up from the candy.  Not even a very silly Gramma behind me (visible if you look really close at that window) could induce him to even glance our way.
We also did resurrection rolls, but, since I was in charge of that event (and didn't want to get the camera all gooey) I have no pictures of that.  The kids, my own along with some cousins and friends, really seemed to enjoy it.  After last year's fiasco, I was very pleased with how this went.  Thanks to all the encouragement from friends and family readers who told me traditions have to start somewhere.  It was a real blessing to spend a holiday with family and friends and good food!
