Tea Time

Or, at least, cocoa with snacks time.

Evie has been waiting so patiently (and sometimes not-so-patiently) to use this teaset.  It's life with our family has been exciting.  She received it in early February.  She got to paint it at the beginning of April.  It was slightly broken and subsequently repaired in the middle of May.  We finally used it at the beginning of July.  What an adventure!

We didn't do anything super fancy; no dressing up or making the table nice.  It was pretty spur-of-the-moment but at least it happened.  We washed some grapes, cut some granola bars, and added goldfish for fun.  The cocoa was tepid - there was no way I was boiling water in the heat we had that day.  But at least the kids like chocolate milk with marshmallows as much as cocoa with marshmallows.

Considering this boy's dirty hands and face, though, maybe we should have a wash-up-dress-up policy next time.

What a fun memory for your kids! I love the tea set that she got to paint.... and that is a great idea to use chocolate milk!
