At the Art Show

Yesterday, Evie's school held an art show complete with silent art auction, grapes, cheese and crackers with sparkling grape juice, and a string quartet.

Even though I've seen Evie's artwork through the school's website, it was so fun, and she was so proud, to see them in person.

After finding and admiring her artwork, we wandered the school and saw things that the other grades had been working on.
These flowers were made with glue and chalks.

I thought these silhouettes were really neat!

Not all the art was on paper; the sculptures were pretty neat to see, too.

In the gym, a silent auction was being held for things donated by entire classes, staff, and some other people.  This flower was worked on by Evie's class, and her part was the outline of the top left petal.  I thought it was interesting that whole classes worked on things for this.  A lot of thought and effort went into the show.

At the very end, the kids could decorate arm cuffs with foil, beads, washi tape, and crayons.

When we left, I couldn't resist the gorgeous sunset!
