Halfway through December, we finally got our good snow! Cole didn't know quite what to do with it, but I managed to get a shot where he looks pleased with it.
After Evie got home from school and the snow had made a decent cover, I let the kids bundle up and play in it a little. It wasn't as dark as the camera made it seem, though it was around 4:30 and darkness was definitely present. Between the front house lights and my flash, the kids are visible.
Evie and Lizzie got right down to the work of making perfect snow angels.
And throwing globs of snow (they haven't yet perfected the snowball) at eachother and their brother.
Carson really loved being out in the snow, but his mittens got soaked early on and he discarded them. Because of this, we ended up cutting outside time short, so he wouldn't get frostbite. Poor kid's fingers were so red I spent several minutes inside warming them back up!
The girls wanted to make a snowman, but settled on making a snow tower. Happy first day of snow!

So pretty!!! I wish so badly that we could have visited some snow this holiday season. Just a visit! Then I can drive home and shiver in our 60 degrees again! :D
