We celebrated Lizzie and Cole's birthday together. I love this sweet picture of the birthday siblings snuggling!
My mom picked up some fun decorations and helped Lizzie make these birthday collages for each of the birthday kids.
I even caught her in action! I realized later, going through my pictures from her visit, that because my mom is always on the go, it's really rare to get a picture of her! This is her in decorating frenzy! :)

Most of our party guests were family. Aunt Linnea happened to be in town with Baby Nathan, and we had Grandma and Grandpa B. We also had my mom and our next door neighbor, who is like another grandma or great aunt to my kids - she always tries to get them little toys and loves to play with them.
At his 12 month well-child visit, Cole was 19.5 lbs and 30 inches long! Tall and skinny, just like my other kids.
Cole loves bouncy balls. Or any balls, really. He likes to fetch, roll, throw, try-to-eat, kick and hide them.
I love this picture! These two are six months apart. I can't wait to watch them become friends as well as cousins!
Some other, non-medical things about Cole are:
*he recently discovered the trash can and throws away things that are AND aren't trash
*he's been walking steadily for the last month and a half
*stairs are merely an obtacle to be conquered - until he's helpless at the top
*he calls out to both Mom and Dad
*he eats pretty much anything, especially whatever table food we're having
I love this progression as he at his birthday cupcake!
