Princess Elizabeth turned FIVE!

Lizzie is so excited to be five!  Now that she is five, she can start getting ready for school!
Lizzie is a very independant little girl and loves to help, as long as it's her idea.  More and more, lately, she takes joy in 'surprising' me with a made bed, a tidy playroom, brushed teeth, or a snack for her little brothers.

Now that Lizzie is five, she is 36 lbs and 41.5 inches tall.  This means she's half an inch shy of riding a couple rides at Wisconsin Dells that she couldn't ride before!  She's very much hoping she gains that by this August when we visit the Dells again.

Even though she's a big five-year old, Lizzie is still the family cuddle bug.  If someone is sitting still, odds are that Lizzie has her arms wrapped around an arm, leg or neck and has snuggled into her most comfortable position.

Lizzie's 5th birthday survey reads like this:
favorite food: apples, macaroni and cheese, goldfish crackers, carrots, and icecream
favorite sport: swimming
favorite tv show: Elmo the musical on Sesame Street
If she could go on an airplane anywhere, where would you go? Grandma and Grandpa's house!
favorite color: I love 3 colors - pink, light blue and purple
when you grow up, what are you going to be?  a mom

favorite book: The Princess and the Pea
favorite song: Twinkle Star
Say three words that describe you: kid, singing, reading
When you were smaller, you used to: play like a baby
favorite time of year: springtime
favorite snack: I don't know
yuckiest food: bananas, tomatoes and onions
best friends: Cammie, Connor, Charles, and Andrew, Canon
favorite princess: Tangled (Rapunzel)
favorite movie: Waterhorse
favorite animal: elephants

At Lizzie's party, we had macaroni and cheese for dinner, with chocolate malt cupcakes and vanilla icecream.  She loved choosing her 'Ariel dress' (I think because it's pink and poofy, like Ariel's going to town dress?) and wearing a fancy birthday pin.

On Lizzie's birthday, since we had celebrated the party early, we just had little cupcakes picked up from the local grocery and some icecream with it. (Not pictured, just information.)

The day of Lizzie and Cole's party, my mom helped me set up a little photo shoot for my princess.  I'm amazed at how grownup and sweet she looks!  It seems impossible that five years have passed with her in my life!

Happy 5th Birthday, my sweet Lizzie!
