This spring, I've gotten a little into making my own clothes. Not a ton, but a few pieces for fun. There were a couple of skirts in February, then this maxi dress in March. I made it especially for mine and Aaron's trip to Mexico - doesn't it have just that feel? - and for summertime.
It was a surprisingly easy pattern to follow. I do wish I'd made it a little longer; maybe I can sew a ruffle onto the bottom to get the desired length. Funny enough, the mistake in length was my own miscalculation. I have enough fabric to do this same dress again and probably a couple of maxi skirts for my daughters. I can't wait to have more fun with this beautiful knit!
This had nothing to do with sewing, but was an adorable picture of my baby. He's starting to look so much like a little man and less like a baby, but he'll always be my baby!
